My girlfriend and I are having an argument and are leaving it up to yahoo to decide. So, here goes. One of us voted Democrat while the other voted Republican. After the election had been decided the one who voted Republican, saw a group of people celebrating the Obama victory (large group of people dancing and singing etc) The one who voted Republican joined in the celebration even though that one didn't vote for the opposition. The one who voted Democrat said that this was a form of the Bradley effect, while the one who voted for Republican said it was not. What do you think? If it's not the bradley effect what would call it if someone celebrated Obama's victory after voting for McCain?

You mean the opposite of the Bradley effect? No I don't think so. Most of the people who voted for Obama are white, higher income, college graduates. This time of day you'll get more Republican answers. You should come back tonight and get more liberal answers. Then add them up.EDIT: Did you mean by the Bradley effect that there were people who said they were gonna vote for Obama, but chickened out? That is what the Bradley effect is. That would mean that Obama could have won by more than he actually did?

no, this is the holy crap am i glad my parched old fart didnt win dance effect

I think it only constitutes as the Bradley effect when you say you're going to vote for a black person and then don't once your in the voting booth. I think that person should be shamed for not voting for Obama and then celebrating. You should have been inside sobbing like the rest of the snooty McCain supporters.
