I'm looking forward to seeing Bruno once it's at the 15 edit. Being 17 is awkward!

Any Bruno features in the latest mags out? I like reading the reviews etc.
 
Agree, not the best- a lot of hype because of Borat and imo didn't fully live up to it. Also there were a lot of questions people in the cinema were throwing around on who was in on it and not.
 
I went to see this with a friend, she wanted to see it, but I had no idea what I was about to see. Even though there were some funny parts, I couldn't quite work out what the whole idea of the film was - in the end I wasn't that keen on it. That type of film is not my cup of tea.

I thought it was awful. Absolute rubbish. i didnt laugh once. And I actually quite enjoyed Borat. But this was just complete and utter rubbish. I actually fell asleep at one point. Glad I have an unlimited card and didnt waste
 
Both versions will still be on release so you won't have to rush to see the 18 cut.

The 15 cut is being released under the name "Bruno (Snipped)" so you'll know at the cinema what version you are buying tickets for.
 
Except that isn't that innocence undermined by the fact that all the way through Borat you know that it's SBC duping these people to provoke these reactions?

To be honest I'm really not interested in seeing innocent people getting duped or their reactions. As far as I'm concerned they could have made the whole film using actors and it would have been just as funny, maybe even funnier if SBC was having to bounce off actors of an equal or sharper wit. Maybe they did for all I know.

I definitely preferred this film to Borat anyway maybe because it did feel more staged and less edgy. Borat was proper guerilla film making. This was much more conventional.

I loved the karate scene because it was so ridiculous and he didn't make the guy look too bad.

Apparently they removed a LaToya Jackson scene in a last minute cut. Lack of balls?
 
I laughed quite a bit but no where as much as I did in Borat. But then I prefer Borat the character to Bruno. I get bored of sexual innuendo jokes after a while. Also it was a bit embarrassing to watch with your parents!

Absolutely hilarious! I notice that there is very much divided opinion on the film, which differs from the general universal admiration of Borat. I think the quintessential difference is that Borat was a naive and likeable character, whereas Bruno is flippant, narcissistic and every inch the prima dona..... which I thought was comedy gold!

Some scnes were just jaw-dropping - like the one with the parents trying to get their kiRAB on TV, the bedroom scene where Bruno does a sexy dance with the politician :D. The chatshow appearance was also deliciously cringeworthy.

I give the film 8.5/10
 
SBC is brave! verrry verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry brave!

I thought it was absolutely hilarious! the test screening for his "show" was by far the funniest moment for me, i was in tears!

The penis saying "bruno" at the end was genius!

Very brave with the red-necks and the kidnapper!
