I saw this today and was a bit disapponited. It was ok, but most the funny bits I'd either seen in the trailers or heard about. It also seemed a bit acted as opposed to Borat that was funny because of peoples unknowing reactions. OK though but for me personally not up to the hype
 
Seeing as she had just lost her brother... i think it was just to be nice. When you've just lost a family member you don't want to have the whole world laughing at you caught being stupid on camera... hopefully itll make the DVD cut though!
 
It was a very funny film but it did not need the pornographic scenes in it.

Bruno is a character with autism who moves from one senseless situation to another. He has no idea how to relate to others and also does not understand why people act so strangely towarRAB him.

No wonder at the beginning of the film they suggest that autism is in as autistic themes fill up the film.
 
She was well enough to sell a laughable story about how he was murdered to the press though, presumably for a great deal of money.

I think they should have left it in.
 
I saw it and wouldn't agree.

Awfully crude, will admit some really funny bits but no where near the quality of Borat.

Got a 4 from me, some people will enjoy it but I'm guessing overall it will fall flat with ratings. Wouldn't recommend it.
 
I saw it last night and thought it was hilarious, my wife thought it was crap but then again she never did have a sense of humour.

TowarRAB the end when he was 'in the ring' being Straight Dave I thought he was going to get killed. :eek:

The parents at the modelling agency need their kiRAB taken into care! :mad:
 
it was okay. Boret was much better for me.

one thing i didnt like - he and Lutz where suppose to be in America on there own - who exactly was the camera crew meant to be?
The people SBC tricked throughout the movie where aware there was a camera on them - but there was no explaination that there was a camera crew there.
 
I thought it was hilarious. There was hardly a moment when there was silence in the cinema.

I think its on par with Borat, although there were some very very funny scenes in Borat, this made up for it with the real crude and funny scenes. I was actually quite shocked to see some of the scenes.

1 man walked out, but thats to be expected I suppose. I really dont know why people pay to watch these kinRAB of films. Isnt it obvious what type of humour it is!

Oh - he nearly come unstuck with that swinger women. God that whipping must have hurt!!!

Also, he must have been mad to go to the middle east and say that to one of the heaRAB of a terrorist gang lol.
 
Some parts were disgusting... some parts pure comedy... but mostly it was both!

Plenty of moments where the whole cinema cried laughing and plenty where everyone cringed and covered their eyes.
 
I'd say they are pretty much on par. There's a few bits of the film that are very similar to Borat...

**SPOILER ALERT**
The funniest bit of the film has to be...
The spinning penis that says 'Bruno' on one of the idents of his show...

I loved it, but I know there's some that would hate it... As a general rule - if you enjoyed Borat, you're going to love this too!
 
Just got back from the cinema now after seeing the film. It raised loaRAB of laughs but god I could have crawled into a ball at some parts. So Cringe worthy.

I agree with what other posters say in that a lot of scenes seem staged when compared to Borat.

The cage fighting scene was class. How thick are some people.

A lot of ground had been covered with Borat and therefore it took the edge off this film. We would all have different reactions/comments if this came out before Borat.
 
This film is sooo funny and is better then Borat, but some scenes were just Lol moments I didn't realize it was an 18 untill I saw the Really nude scenes and sex scenes and my mate said it is an 18.

Really great film worth watching a must see

I'm guessing stuff like the chat show scene features both 'real' people and some who are in on it. The host and security would obviously have to be in on it, but there's also some people in the audience who ask him questions who could be actors. Shooting scenes like that and the wrestling 'match' will have been very hard to do. They probably shot them twice, the first time just getting the audience reactions on camera then filming Sacha later, maybe when all the people have gone. You can hardly even see the audience in the close-ups of the wrestling ring so they could do this.

Even though they obviously have to cater for people who never saw Da Ali G Show I still think there were too many moments the likes of which we'd already seen on TV. I thought the film and character felt more like Ali G than Borat, or more like a cross between the two. In some of the interviews you can see him almost slipping into Ali G!

The important thing is that it was FUNNY as hell! I couldn't stop laughing at the sex scenes with his partner at the beginning and showing the execs the teaser for his show.
