would you think she's trying too hard or would you be happy about it?

-I want to do this...I've been in this relationship for over a year
-we were watching clerks and the girl did that for her bf and I told my bf I'd do it for him one day and he said "you'd be the BEST GF EVER!"
-I don't want to seem like I'm trying too hard (especially since I have to drive 35 min to get it to his work)
 
it sounds like he already gave you the answer you were looking for. (Hint, it sounded something like "you'd be the BEST GF EVER!")
