My boyfriend's sister-in-law (his brother's wife) and I have been good friends for about 2 years, but we've become closer over the past year (they moved closer). This year, she wants to get me a gift. Of course, I want to give her something also.
But, I don't know how much to spend. More than likely, the gift she's getting me is something she'll be getting for free and/ or highly discounted through her job. That's not a problem. But, I don't want to spend a ton of money, when someone just got me something conveniently cheap. I know it sounds horrible. I'm not trying to sound stingy. I hope you get what I'm saying.
So, how much should I spend on her? What fair in a situation like this?
