Boyfriends moving because father's in the military?

Hi everyone...my boyfriend and i have been dating for 1 year and half.....and he is moving because hes dad is in the military.....he is two years younger than me so i am going off to college and he will be a junior .we broke up about 4 days ago because he wants us to be best friends but the feelings are still there but now he pushing me away what should i do ...i told him i was there for him
he's moving to CO....we were going to do long distance but he got scared that we are going to have a huge fight and hes going to lose me for good....and maybe later we can see where life takes us

I think he doesn't relish the thought of a long-distance relationship.

Try moving on since that is obviously what he is ready to do.

Give him some space. He is probably scared and doesn't know what to do. Since his Dad is in the military he has moved around most of his life and has dealt with this before but now "love" has knocked on his door and he has "no choice" but to move again. And then to top it off you are going away to college and he has to contend with that.
Give him a bit of space and let him sort things out in his head. Let him think things through and then get back with him. If he decides that things are better with the two of you apart then there honestly is nothing you can do except to try to talk to him. Good luck.
