Bourne Ultimatum!

As I remember, in the second film she was worried he was going to kill her. She might have thought that whatever connection they had in the past would make her more likely to be his victim. By the end of the second film, she knows he isn't out to kill her and has seen some evidence that he's basically good now.

Overall I thought it was a good film, but almost spoiled by the shaky camera-work. Also the framing of shots so you couldn't see what was going on, in scenes which didn't need it. I think this was supposed to give a sense of voyeurism and hence realism, but for me it just called attention to the camera and so distracted from the movie.

Surprised nobody mentioned this.

At the end of the Supremacy, Jason Bourne has a conversation with Pamela Landy, whereby she thanks him for the tape, apologises etc. Jason Bourne then tells her to get some rest as she looks tired and she looks out of her window...............end of film.

This same conversation takes place in the Ultimatum about 2/3rRAB in, literally word for word.

Am i missing something? The Supremacy enRAB in NYC, yet the Ultimatum starts in Russia, with Bourne treating his bullet wound just after he has met the Neski girl. But then enRAB in NYC with this conversation taking place again.

Confused?????

Whats confusing about it?

The first two thirRAB of Ultimatum take place before the last scene in Supremacy. Ultimatum picks up in Moscow.

The last scene in Supremacy is some weeks after the events in Moscow - which actually makes sense as Bourne says "I hear you're still ooking for me".

Its quite a clever idea actually, combining flashback and prequel concepts.

I just wish they would do one movie that is faithful to the books - don't get me wrong I love all the Bourne movies - but the books are just so good, I cannot believe they just don't stick to them.

i thought that with Supremacy. It was quite hard to watch and i believe they have hired Paul Greengrass for this one as well. Identity was directed by Doug Liman so the jerkiness i think is 'stylistic' rather than just annoying.

Agreed. I stopped following the film about half way though because I could just not follow it with the shakey camera work. My home movie in Florida on a roller coaster was smoother than that. It worked for some scenes but to have it going for the best part of 90 mins was way to much.

The action scene I had no idea what was going on because the camera did not stay with one shot for you to work out who was who.

Was really looking forward to this but I just lost interest in it. Sat and watched both films last week on ITV2 so was all clued up for the storyline but nope.... didn't happen for me.

My advice would be to sit as far back as you could in the cinema to have any chance of seeing whats going on.

Just back from seeing it. It is a really good film and ties in with Supremacy well. I watched the first 2 movies today.
It is quite interesting that over 3 films they just get out the majority of the info in the first book.
Good film.

My thoughts on:

The Bourne Ultimatum

8/10

I dunno, it was a good film, but something was missing for me, can't really put my finger on it, but after coming out of the Cinema i was disapointed slightly, maybe because of all the hype and rave reviews i might have built the film up too much?

I thought the ending was average too, i won't spoil it for you but after watching 3 films waiting for the climax and resoluition of his whole story, the ending that they gave, was at least in mine and my mates eyes to be poor.

Though the acting was top notch, not denying that, some of the stunts looked good, in particular a fight with one of the men sent to kill Bourne in an appratment that involved a wide array of objects, I don't wanna spoil it for anyone, but that was very enjoyable.

Will probably go see it again on 2 for 1 day to see if a second viewing does anything for me.

Wow. Amazing. This is the second film by Paul Greengrass ( the first being the stunning United 93) that left me feeling physically drained when I left the cinema. It's the best film you'll see this year, one of the best this decade and probably will be in your Top 10 of all time. Trust me.

I read the first one but actually didn't like it very much. It was very different to the movie, just a completely different feel to it. I like the films, I think this next one could be the best film this summer. Very excited.

Not read the books though im tempted... hearing that the story is completely different to the movies is a turn off, as i really enjoyed both of the so far released ones, and looking forward to the 3rd!

Nice remix,
The graphics under the credits are fairly amazing too. As they tell the 'story' of the film.
So two things to remember 1. If there is a vid of the 'credits' sequence it's to be treated as a 'spoiler' 2. Don't be too hasty to leg it out of the Cinema at the end.
It's really quite nicely done.
