Bourne 3

That's funny, very good!

I loved both Bourne films, was never a real Matt Damon fan before, but these roles could have been written for him, just the right amount of 'bewilderment, followed by being able to kill somebody with his own hanRAB, and not know how' to make a really good movie.

Looking forward to seeing 3

I just read this on Dark Horizons about the third Bourne film:

"Frank Marshall confirmed to IESB this past week that "The Bourne Ultimatum", the third film in the Jason Bourne spy film franchise, will begin shooting on August 1st.

Whilst the plot will have no relation to the Robert Ludlum book of the same name ("The Bourne Supremacy" had no relation either), Marshall's only hint of the storyline? "There may be a relationship starting up between Julia Stiles' character and Matt Damon".

The books were great, Robert Ludlum had a real gift for turbo-charged action sequences that were right for the context of the story; it's a great shame he didn't live quite long enough to see the excellent transfer to screen.

I actually have just this morning got The Bourne Supremacy (nice and cheap from play.com), and am looking forward to finally seeing if it really is better than Identity, which was pretty damn hot anyway!

I read the first book and found it SO boring. I just didn't care about the characters or what happened to them - It's put me off seeing the films - that and my immense dislike of Matt Damon.

I thought the way the second film continued the story was excellent although I preferred the original. Judging by the trend set so far, I reckon there'll be three car chases in this one.

Supremacy is a better film (slightly), but that's cancelled out by the crazy camera that just won't keep still! It's grittier, which I like about it, but overall it's about the same as Identity I thought... have fun.

Producer Frank Marshall has been talking recently about The Bourne Ultimatum. He said "Filming starts August 1st shooting in Europe. Paul Greengrass is the director. Matt Damon is in it. He loves the script. Tony Gilroy wrote the script and we're off and running. Paul is doing a movie called FLIGHT 93 right now, so Pat Riley and I are going over to England next month to start pre-production. [Tony Gilroy] made up an incredible story. It's really, really out there. Joan Allen and Julia Stiles characters [are back] and then some fresh new characters. And a couple of baddies"

The Bourne Supremacy is a good example of why you should watch films at the cinema. I saw it first on the big screen and thought it was fantastic, saw it again on the TV and it felt like a completely different film.

I saw the first two films on DVD and am really looking forward to seeing the third on the big screen. I'm usually not a fan of action films but the fight and car chase scenes were superbly done here.

According to reports Frank Marshall the producer of all three Bourne films has said that the series might possibly spawn a further two sequels which will exclude the forthcoming film Bourne Ultimatum.
Although the books on which the film series are loosely based on ended with Bourne Ultimatum Marshall says he can see the series as five Bourne films in all!"It's kinda up to Matt [Damon]," Marshall said "Maybe to five [films] ... At some point, he's [Jason Bourne] gotta find out who he is."
The plans are for writers to be brought in to suggest possible plots for the fourth and fifth Bourne films. The Bourne Ultimatum is to starts shooting in August and it will be released in Summer 2007!
