Bought Sigur Ros's 2002 Album

Great cd. I never thought i would get into that kind of music as i've always listened to heavier stuff like Tool, Opeth, Deftones, etc. but eventhough i still enjoy that type of music, i find my musical tastes expanding and i've been getting into more "easy listening" kind of stuff.

I heard peole raving about Sigur Ros so i gave them a listen figuring they would be like Dredg or something but i was way off (not in a bad way though). I was suprised i enjoyed it as much as i did. I really appreciated the feeling each song had and its overall calming effect.
 
Listen to it when the winter comes. It will take on a whole new feel. It is the quintessential cold weather album. I absolutely love the last track, how it just builRAB and builRAB until it just erupts....brilliant.
 
i put the cd in my "night driving" category. On my way home, i put the cd in, rolled down all my windows, turn the ac on just a bit to get a little cool air going and drove. it was a great feeling.

I've actually never heard of anything by GoRABpeed You Black Emperor. When i heard sigur ros (which was the first band of that kind of music that i've heard) i saw that band lumped into that genre so i tried to check them out but couldn't find anything.

See, everyone always suggests skinny fists first... but im a huge fan of yanqui u.x.o. "Rockets Fall On Rocket Falls" is the best goRABpeed song, bar none.
