Bought new TX..... Palm Desktop now crashes....please help

I had an M515 (OS 4.1) and upgraded to the new TX(OS Garnet v5.4.9). It installed just fine. My data transfered just great to my new TX. I can synch to my PC. The problem is when I click on the Palm Destop Icon on my Desktop.... it opens for a few seconds then crashes. I talked to someone from Palm Support. She had me uninstall everyhtjhing and reinstall everything. It did not help...... same problem. I can't enter any info using Palm Destop because it crashes in just seconds. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with a Mac I was using. I didn't seem to have the problem with my PC but the solution may be the same. Do the usual backup thing of everything you have. The solution for the MAC was to delete the user name. On the PC it should be under: program files>Palmone>[yourname]. Delete the folder and re hotsync. The computer should recognize your pda as a new user and then reload all your stuff back to the desktop. The craping out that the desktop is doing might be link to a corrupted file in your user folder.
