Bought my 360, Spent a week finding GoW Collectors Edition, Beat It... Need New Game!

broken heart

So I have had my 360 and VGA/HD Componet Cables w/ XBL all setup now.

I spent a week finding GoW (Collectors) and now have finally beaten it on Insane (co-op). I did Casual myself.

I want to first say, while not a fan of the multiplayer, the singleplayer campaign has to be my favorite of all time!!

I am thinking about renting Oblivion (hated it on the PC, but the controller may make it better).

My friend is trying to make me buy R6:Vegas but I have never been a fan of Tom Clancy games. Is it really that good? Do they finally get rid of the slooooooooow gameplay? Same thing with GRAW or SC: DA? I couldnt stand even getting past the first two levels or Live with the XBOX1 versions.

Also for a racing game Carbon or Most Wanted?

This is what I have chosen for purchase so far:
Viva Pinata (Just looks fun)
PDZ
CoD3 (for multiplayer deathmatch)
EDIT: Add Sneak King to the list :P

Critiques guys? Also please disregard my name, change and sub incomming.

I bought the burger king games tonight, go with Pocket Bike racer.

Big Bumpin is fun, but hard to get used to, plus the games are soo crazy, and they don't always count damage for/against.

Sneak King is fun, but it is VERY repetitive.

it is basically walka round, feed, walk, feed, hide, feed, walk, feed, hide, walk, feed, walk etc.

R6 vegas is awesome. the multiplayer is sweet, there are 5 times as many guns as in GOW, and you can customize your multiplayer character. i just wish 90% of the people wouldn't want to do the casino map EVERY TIME

GoW multiplayer is not the same as most shooters. Its a little slower than say Halo but not quite as slow as R6. Just get use to multi play and you'll have fun. Unless you suck at it, then thats you.

I'm not a huge fan of shooters in general, they tend to bore me after a while, but this game just sucked me in bigtime.

what all did you get w/ the collector's edition? I was in a hurry to buy the game and didn't realize there was another version

Don't waste your time w/ PDZ, it was one of the first games I bought for the 360 and it really turned me off to the system for a while. It's so poorly designed that they had to put a glowing arrow on the floor so you knew where to go...overall the game is just not good, certainly not worth the hype it got prior to the launch.

Look into GRAW....I've been meaning to check it out.

GRAW is amazing, and with GRAW2 coming in a few months I bet you can find it cheap used from EB games.

NHL 07 is a ton of fun if you're into Hockey. Its a lot more realistic, idk if you've ever played hockey games in the past but you used to skate the puck down, go around the net and pass it infront of the net and score with a one timer. Basically the only way to score was a one timer or a very lucky wrist shot.

Now, the right analog stick controls you stick, so left and right deke, forward is a snap shot, you wind up for w wrist or slap shot, etc.

read a review.

rb6 all the way, awesome game. the multiplayer alone is worth it. and i will agree with bye4now12 for nhl 07, only if your a hockey fan, if not ignore that. splinter cell is a great game also, another fun multiplayer game.

to that as well. Pocket Bike is fun as hell...the other 2 are just kind of meh. I guess it's worth $8 to play them both at least once though

I've actually heard mixed opinions about GoW. I thought about getting it... but some have said it's not all that great, ie not worth the $60, and some have said it's one of the best games they've ever played. What makes it so much better than an average first or third person shooter?

pocket bike and the big bumpin were quite fun online. i liked cheating on the pocket bike and jumping over fences. it was great. then people caught on and i started losing again... sigh.

I was so sick of shooters on the 360, so I was really leary of buying another one based on the hype when I had been burned in the past. I can't conceive of how someone wouldn't like GoW unless they're so addicted to the halo style of gameplay that they can't adapt. To me, I thought halo was vastly overrated. The story was blah and there was no incentive to not go in guns blazing, die and respawn. In Gears you have to think a bit more and bide your time. I didn't like halo because it was too gung ho, and I've hated the clancy games because you have to plan out every fucking detail. GoW is a perfect balance of the two. The goal is to take cover and return fire. Campaign mode is great, story is good, and multiplayer is a blast.

rainbow six vegas plays pretty close to gears, not quite as fast paced, but the cover system really makes it alot more fun than previous ones. it adds alot of strategy, but you can still play the game with some run and gun. not full on halo 2 style, but alot like gears if you have the right guns and armor.
