bought a psp and it had custom firmware 5.0 m33?

Well it looks cool and something happens when u press select but what can u do with custom firmware and why is it better then the official?
it also had some game on the memory stick how can i add more?
and what can u do in it it is different then official version but i dont know what else i can do in it?
