Boot stuck

Hi guys

Last night I put the phone for charging. Today when I disconnected the phone and powered the phone, it got stuck in third phase - retrieving the contacts (first phase - t-mobile logo, second - android logo).

I have tried removing the battery, tried with Power+Home buttons (and other combination).

The phone is T-Mobile Pulse and it's not rooted. I searched the forum for similar problems, but every thread that I found is for rooted phones.

Thank you.

Have you tried booting in Safe Mode (keep Menu held down until the phone finishes booting). This mode stops any apps loading during startup that could be causing a problem.

Failing that, I'd say you have to do a factory reset. To do this, turn off your phone (pull the battery if needed), then hold (as in keep it held down) HOME and the END CALL button down for 30 seconds until you see a triangle with an exclamation mark in it. You have to keep holding it even though the logos and boot screens. Then you press ALT-L to bring up a list of options (you don't have to do this, but it's cool to see what you can do). You will then want to use the ALT-W option to wipe the phone.

Thank you for your replay.

I'm sorry to report that neither of the two solutions worked. In both cases the phone is stuck in the phase where the t-mobile logo is shown and under that there's the pink (magenta) circle. The circle is animated.

Any other ideas?

Not me - but I'm only familiar with the G1 - maybe someone else can help. However, it sounds to me like it's broken. If it's still under warranty (under a year old), I'd think about returning it to either the store where you got it, or to Huawei, for a replacement.
