Boot camp on mac help!?

if I boot into windows from mac in boot camp, and get a virus, 1: does it effect my mac partition, and 2: can I just boot into mac and delete the windows partition... and how ?
 
1. No it will not crossover and affect the Mac side. There are no current MacOS X viruses, and the Windows variety will not affect it.

2. I believe you have to reformat the whole hard drive and reinstall all the software to reclaim the partition you would use for a Windows install.
