Boot camp in college?

I will be doing a few courses in college involving; basic programming, networking, web design and such. As far as I am concerned most of the systems in the college run windows. I am guessing a lot of the software they will be using will be optimised for Windows too. Basically wondering if I duel boot with boot camp and get Windows running on a Mac will I still be able to connect to all servers and use the software or will I still come across a few problems regarding compatibility.

There should technically be no problems, because Windows will be running natively - that is, not through a program like VMWare or Parallels. When you emulate an operating system, there is a much higher likelihood of components of the system not working.
