I want to read a book that is similar to Angela's Ashes that focuses on a characters journey from becoming a boy to a man. I liked how Angela's Ashes described the various challenges Frank had to go through such as his religion, sexuality, and chasing the dream. I really want something that is worth the read and involves not all but some of these themes. Please suggest various books I can look into.
