Bookmarks sync???

I've been looking around online and I don't see google saying anything about a sync option for google bookmarks. I think the solution is going to end up being a 3rd party app. I loaded my current bookmarks by exporting them from google bookmarks and uploading them with the mybookmarks app.... it's not ideal and it's not a sync application. Mybookmarks is however a very nice tool to get your current bookmarks onto your android based phone. You can download it from the marketplace on your G1 phone and it's free.

It has always amazed me that there hasn't been more Google integration on Android devices. No Google docs app etc.

Firefox seem to be developing an android browser though, so this could sync bookmarks

Well as far as replacement browsers go, Dolphin browser syncs with google bookmarks. i just wondered if there was a way to make the stock browser do it.

It's a little tedious but I found a way to do this without using an app.

I exporteded my bookmarks from my pc to an html document then mailed it to my gmail acct from my gmail acct. I opended the document on my phone and it gave me a plain list of links that I selected then bookmarked the page in the browser. Hit back to get back to the list.

I only had about 10 bookmarks, I'm sure this would be less practical the more bookmarks you have.

thanks Juan!

I have a cdma hero and have learned pretty much everything I know from another popular site. Some of the subject matter here is WAY over my head you guys actually port android os to devices like the ds and psp? Amazing!

For anyone interested, I've created GMarks for Android, which allows you to sync your browser bookmarks with Google Bookmarks.

So far it only works for bookmarks under a single folder/label, but I plan to expand it to keep track of all browser folders and sync with Dolphin browser as well.

Check it out! Let me know what you think:
