I'm writing a commentary (basically an essay) of a passage from the book the old man and the sea. The part i want to quote is dialogue. it's:
"Fight them," he said. "I'll fight them until I die."
The commentary is only on a given passage of the book so there would be no need to state the page number when quoting since it is not even given to us. How would i quote this in the essay? especially since it is a dialogue. Where do the quotes go?
