I want to send my book into scholastic or something like that to see if hey will publish it. The thing is, i can't find an address for SCHOLASTIC. Does any body have the address for sending IN books the have written?

I agree with the answerer before me. Before you find the address, you should probably make sure you've met all the requirements that Scholastic wants you to meet. Many times publishers want a query letter first. Some publishers require a writer to have an agent before publishing. Search around on the website and find out more information before sending in your manuscript.

currently scholastic are only accepting unsolicited ms for teaching texts, not novels.

there is an address on www.scholastic.com for text book submissions.

like most big publishers they are going down the agent only route.

getting an agent might be your best bet.

check out www.agentquery.com for a list of agents to approach

This is from Scholatic website:

Scholastic and most other children's book publishers do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. Most works are submitted by literary agents or are created under a contract.

Our Editorial Department suggests that you may want to consult the current issue of the CHILDREN'S WRITER'S AND ILLUSTRATOR'S MARKET. It retails in the $20.00 range and should be available at most public libraries. They feel this book is helpful for aspiring children's writers.

We wish you success in your writing endeavors and hope this information is helpful."

Good Luck,.
