Book Involving Zombies and a TV Broadcast Seance in NY. Please help even if unsure!...

...What's this book called?!? I think it's New York, not sure on that. I read this book last year and I want to read it again. Here's what I remember from the storyline:

I think 5 people get together on a big TV station and do a seance to talk to the dead. Instead of talking to them they make everyone who has died (zombies?) come back to life. The people in the seance circle are like frozen and their conjoined hands absolutely CANNOT be pulled apart. All the zombies are eating everyone else. The zombies go after their loved ones to eat them. These zombies are very angry at the world and absolutely awful to everyone. The eaten people then become zombies themselves and eat other people.

I remember also that the story bounced between main characters who eventually connected in the story. One of them has a motorcycle, a gun, and cigarettes. He is on the run from a gang like group because he hooked up with the leader's girl. He meets some girl at a restaurant who comes with him on the journey. Another person is one of the people in the seance group's daughter. One of them is also some famous chick (and her very protective bodyguard) who has just come out of the closet about her sexuality. There are also two college guys who aren't the best of friends who join together along with one of their professors to try to escape being eaten.

I hope this is enough information and I really, really, really hope someone can help me out! Even if it's just a guess as to what the book might be called or who it might be by, anything could help. I think it might have been published in 2009 but idk for sure. That's when I read it and at that time it was a new book at my local library. Thank you so much in advance!!!
Just thought I'd mention that I don't think the book is meant to be humorous. It's more like a zombie apocalypse or something. Wish I remembered the title...

I don't know this particular book, but as I read your question, I thought you might enjoy reading "World War Z" by Max Brooks. He also wrote "The Ultimate Zombie Survival Guide", which is really good and funny, and I know it sounds stupid, but most of my group of friends has read it, and we have all "planned" what we'll do when the zombies attack! The books are really good, and if you like that style of zombie book, (which I gather from the descrip of the book you're looking for) you will really like these. And "World War Z"is supposed to be released ina movie this year, I think!
