Bone Stimulator

Hi Everyone,

I just got a bone stimulator for my back, because I do not seem to be fusing very well. Has anyone ever used one of these, and was it a success?

Yep, I wore one 24/7 for 6 months, probably longer than I needed to. I think my doctor didn't realize I was still wearing it. I was showing bone growth at only 6 weeks post op, which is much sooner than it's normally seen. I was at higher risk for non-fusion due to how many levels I was having done, eight. At 6 months, I was fully fused.

i had used one worked very well showed bone growth at 6 wks now fully fused at 6 months
 
I am using one because one of my 3 levels wasn't fusing. It is now and I am 6 months post-op. I also started taking calcium/mag/vitamin D supplements twice daily and cut out all soda. The surgeon was thrilled a couple of weeks ago. I see him again on Friday and hope to see more progress.:angel:

ok, I just put the bone stimulator on, am I supposed to feel anything, because I do not feel anything
 
No you aren't supposed to feel anything!! Which is a good thing. I also am wearing a bone growth stim. Have had it on for over 2 months now...and will be seeing my surgeon on 10/3...there had better be bone growth! Good luck to you.
