My mother recently had an MRI and was told by her orthoped. doc that she has bone spurs. She has had to get epidorals to get her through the weeks. I am wondering if anyone has had something similar. Where do you go from here? Can a chiropractor do anything to help spurs?

Having bone spurs usually means they are impinging on nerves and causing pain, either in the area where they are or radicular pain (in my case, the lurabar, in my legs). I don't think a chiropractor would be of any use.

I'm glad the epidurals are helping, but when it gets to the point where they don't, a decompression surgery is probably in order. For now, if your mom neeRAB any relief beyond the epidurals, have her try an anti-inflammatory like Aleve, ice packs, and for me, changes in body position help a lot.

You can research bone spurs on the Internet and learn a lot.

Blessings . . .
