Hi everyone...

I am the gal that is a dog groomer and I posted a few weeks back about my problems. Well I went for xrays and they called me today, I have no disk issues but I do have a bone spur on L4. Now I just read Bigdaddy1 post about the same thing :) Now my Dr said he didn't think that this was causing my pain.. but sometimes I just don't belive him!!! what else could be causing the pain.. sometimes it is so bad I can hardly get through my day at work.. any insite would be great! I need to make an appointment for PT and then call back if doesn't help

Thanks

Dee

Does it hurt when you try to stand up from sitting or squatting? I've read too many things on the intenet that says bone spurs cause pain. Well, it is the actually rubbing against a nerve or muscle that causes the pain. Did you have an MRI?

Hithere Bigdaddy1!!

Yes it hurts when I get up from sitting, squatting, laying down, If I stand to long, if I sit too long.. get the picture :) It really stinks I gotta tell ya. No, My Dr doesn't think I need to go for a MRI.. But I think I may go to another Dr for another opinion. I am WAY to young to be in this much pain.. and I NEVER had back problem before this past Oct when 2 huge dogs jumped of my table at work.. and I caught em'. What kind of Dr would be best to go to other than my GP?? any ideas?

I just got off the phone scheduling my MRI on Friday. I will let you know how it turns out. Why don't you call your GP back or go back in for a visit, tell him that you are still hurting and tell him you have talked to others who are having an MRI and see if he will do it. I'm in an HMO so I have to follow procedure through my primary physican.
