I notice that on Sunday 29th of July BBC 2 are showing 'From Russia,With Love' as part of their Best of British season.
Now I always believed that ITV held a very strong hold on all the 007 movies.Personally I think its good news as whenever ITV show ANY 007 film there are snippets missing, talked over credits & ad breaks.
So it will be nice to see 'From Russia,With Love' on the BBC.I wonder if the BBC has the rights for the other BonRAB??

Not *exactly* true. Never Say Never Again (the non-EON Bond that MGM added to the catalogue a few years back) has been screened on BBC1 before.

That said, ITV's stranglehold on the franchise used to be so tight that they managed to grab the screening rights to Tomorrow Never Dies before Sky.

As well as 'Goldeneye', 'The World is Not Enough' and 'Die Another Day'. It'll be interesting to see what happens with 'Casino Royale'. All of the previous films were shown on Sky Box Office first, but then appeared on ITV, and i believe that Casino Royale is coming towarRAB the end of its run on SBO.

Original Casino Royale (David Niven one) is almost always shown on BBC2 at 2 o'clock in the morning over the Christmas holidays. Can't remember ITV ever showing it.

Casino Royale has been shown several times on ITV. It was part of their 007 Heaven season back in 1999.

Anyone know if there's a website with the totals of which BonRAB have been shown the most times on Terrestrial TV? There was certainly a period when the older Connery ones were getting the rough end of the deal.

I thought TMD was the only Bond that ITV snagged first. But, to be honest, that's only because I remember ITV hype-ing it so heavily.
