COLLEGE STATION (CBSDFW) - According to ‘Code Maroon’ tweets from Texas A&M University in College Station a campus wide evacuation was issued at 11:35a.m. due to a bomb threat.
Classes for the day have been cancelled.

The bomb threat was received for the campus in general, no specific buildings were listed.
On the school’s emergency web site, a message reads: The University has received a campus-wide bomb threat. We are asking all students, faculty, and staff to evacuate campus as quickly and as safely as possible by foot. Do not use a vehicle at this time. This evacuation is effective immediately until further notice.
Bomb threats have plagued several Texas Universities recently. This threat comes on the heels of a bomb threat that cleared out part of Texas State in San Marcos yesterday, and on Friday September 14th, the entire UT Austin campus was evacuated for a bomb threat as well.
