Is it possible to make a fire hot enough to boil water if I just set a pot in the fire? I'm going out on a little adventure with my friend just for a day so I'm not going out and buying camping supplies, etc.
So can I just take a little pot used in the kitchen and set it in an open fire and expect water to boil? Because I know most people use a grate, camping stove, etc.
Do I need a specific pot made out of thinner material then the in-home kind? Because I know people make water boil in cans, but that's much more thin.
