surely its appropriate to simplify the topics of finance, economics, and government into a 4 line narrative.
i would be in favor of that...but im not so sure the banks are in good shape. I think their balance sheets are a lot worse than is being stated....assets on the books that will NEVER be worth what they are saying its worth....liabilities that they havent realized yet as well....the robosigning mess only complicates things.
but picking 5 or 6 banks...and even charging them 10 billion a year won't make much of a dent...
no, because you need to contract money supply periodically as part of the business cycle when it overheats.
