Boehner passes SECOND bill, DEMS vow to block it

Something tells me you and some Republican colleagues have failed to understand the meaning of compromise.

I'm not sure how that's come about really.

Countercyclical spending exactly addresses the relevant problems, even the ones that simple-minded conservatives want. It gives a net balanced budget over X nuraber of years with the added bonus of giving people time to transition through economic downturns.

You complain about talking points....but push some lame talking point about how getting 2 of 179 Democrat votes means both parties voted for it, in some playful use of worRAB used to play around and pretend that bipartisanship is achieved by getting just 1 vote from the other party.

It's so bipartisan to have 1 out of hundreRAB from a rival party agree with you. Let me use the strict definition in an attempt to mislead people into thinking there's more support for this bill than 99% Republican and 1% Democrat.

Democrats won't compromise by accepting a "bipartisan" bill that is 99% Republican. Why on Earth won't they compromise and just accept it.

It's not mandatory....but it's certainly required if we wish to meet the spending appropriations that congress already approved. It's odd that the Republican controlled House approved spending appropriations earlier this year, but they don't want to face the reality of the debt incurred as a result of those choices.

In fairness this is mostly due to being forced into non-realistic budget reduction last time around, so now they're looking to get all they can.....just not in a very productive manor IMO.

I consider that a terrible manor to govern...promise to pay people....then not pay them.

They should have done this when they were working on the appropriations shit, not after they've already approved of the spending.
