Boehner passes SECOND bill, DEMS vow to block it

It's so bipartisan that the Dems in the Senate won't even let it reach the floor and the Dem President says he'll veto it on sight. Pure bipartisan bill!

Why are the Dems rejecting a clearly bipartisan proposal?

and now we find out that Reid wants the House to vote on Reid's plan first instead of his own Senate.

Because Reid doesn't have enough Democrat votes to pass it on his side!

At this point, I say fuck 'em. They're not going to agree, and Obama is going to do his standard partisan crap. The AMERICAN PEOPLE want no more spending, so the only people who listen to the people, the conservatives, are obeying the taxpayers.

Fuck the liberals. Let them rot. Don't pass anything since they just want more "money" to spend.

It doesn't matter if he was about 1 smidge more interventionist than many previous presidents.

We've seen what interventionism is, and what government interventions were possible at that time. Hoover damn sure wasn't on the interventionist side of that scale, especially for the vast majority of his presidency .... he's quite close enough to extremist laissez-faire end to still be counted on their side.

Your sort of silly black-and-white pigeonholing is the how Milton Friedman ended up being called a socialist, and why your categorization of "interventionists" is just about as useless.

You're purposely trolling, there is no way you are really this big of a moron.

Hoover was not slightly more interventionist - he was HUGELY more.

Hoover was Stalin compared to Coolidge.

Push through partisan bills with no hope of passing that address only all of the things you want....

....claim the other side is being unfair for voting no.

60% of the american people (amogst pretty much every fucking poll that was carried out) said no to obamacare.

Did congress (the libs) listen? Nope.

They can lay in the bed they made.

Propoer economics requires counter-cyclical spending, and the BBA caps government expenditures at some absurdly low percentage of GDP, which has nothing to do with a balanced budget.

House - Controlled by Republicans
Senate - Controlled by Democrats
President - Controlled by Democrats

A bill passes the House because all of the Republicans agree on it....they then cry that the Senate won't pass their bill and claim it's because the Senate won't compromise and pass such a bipartisan bill. Which is correct?

(A) The bill is bipartisan and the Senate refuses to compromise even though the bill is already bipartisan.
(B) The bill passing the House is a display of bipartisan support.
(C) Refusing to pass a bill you disagree with means you're unwilling to compromise.
(D) The bill isn't bipartisan, has only won support from one party, and no attempt at compromise has been made.
