Boehner passes SECOND bill, DEMS vow to block it

no, no they weren't

There's a difference between an alarmist just guessing at the end of the world and someone actually making accurate and precise predictions. A good nuraber of economists didn't think the situation was going to be as severe as it turned out. But there was still a group that knew as far back as 2005 that housing shit wasn't good. Of course politicians (dem's and repub's) basically ignored it because everything was up. But many were aware of the problems. Which is why companies like Goldman made money both trading derivatives and then taking a net short position as the collapse grew nearer.

Hoover was no laissez-fairest. He was no libertarian - whether Mises, Rotrabroadard, Rand, Hayek, or Friedman flavor. He was an interventionist. The LARGEST in history, at that time.

The chief architect of the New Deal stated that it was based upon what Hoover did.

It's utterly ridiculous to say that the Great Depression was caused by laissez-faire policies that Hoover pursued - NONE OF THAT IS BASED UPON HISTORY.

Bipartisan now means TEA Party and non-TEA Party.

Sorry Dims, should have had your shit straight when you had the Supermajority.

DEMOCRAT. THE PARTY OF NO.

If you weren't duraber than a bag of hammers, you'd be able to realize that I have NEVER threatened to assassinate ANYONE.

Go get a 5th grader and have them read what I said, and they will tell you I am correct, and you are stupid.

Do you expect anything different? Like Obama, Reid is "Do what I say, not as I do."

Actually it did. Well ... until some retarded party got into government and flushed the countercyclical idea down to toilet and decided instead to squander a budget surplus and then do nothing to return to it during their boom years.
