When i suggested that a meraber put Bob Seger on their oldies list, it occurred to me that i haven't seen any mention of him...

Does no one really like him???

Or has he been overlooked?

Segar talk is sort of obscure on here. Night Moves is a fantastic album, and overall I am a fan. Michigan native and has asserabled several excellent banRAB in his time. Overall there are some tired classic rock standarRAB a cheesy ballad type nuraber here and there but most of his stuff is very pleasing to the ear.

I'm really only familiar with the really well-known Bob Seger songs. It's not stuff I'd go out of my way to listen to but some of it isn't bad and his songs definitely carry a sense of nostalgia for me. What's his lesser known music like? Similar sound to the hit songs or no?

i really haven't heard any of his newer music ~ i just thought of him for the your 10 top albums thread, so i'll be interested in the answer, too! ;)

His mom lives in my town, I've driven by her house before. I don't think this music is anything terrible, but then I can't say I've ever sat down with the thought "I'm in the mood for Bob Seger right now."

Just one of those neutral artists for me.

My father was a huge fan, so I've heard of Bob. He's pretty awesome, can't beat the older mellow rock sound. Sitting in a bookstore and Seger coming on is one of the best feelings.

Sometimes its just perfectly normal to just sit back and listen to inoffensive soft rock, and Bob Seger performs it briliantly.
