BMW 330 or MAZDA RX7?

I plan to buy a used car next year and I reckon I'll be making choice between the above. My question is: which one handles better? My thinking is the Mazda has a near 50:50 weight distribution and is significantly lighter, so it should be the winner; or perhaps I should consider yet another car - a Subaru Impreza STI? I also know about Mazda MX5's fantastic handling, but it's a 2-seater and I need 4/5 seats in a car.
 
Two very different cars to drive, so that bit is a matter of choice and it would be silly not to have extended test drives. I suspect you will then make a very definite decision. Objectively the BMW does offer German high quality build.
 
I would say the RX-7 mate. Good fun for drifting, nice looker, a head turner, going to get you noticed! What year was the 330? Something tells me though that the RX-7 is the one you want!
 
Depends on whether " handling " and that alone is the area you are most concerned with. Ive driven an RX7, my brother-in-law has an 08 330D. The RX7 is a sports car, the BMW is not, as such, the RX7 has superior handling characteristics, the engine is also superb ( the rotary wankel engine has won awards in the past ). I believe the newest Impreza is superb in all areas, however, alot more money than an RX7. The last model Impreza would at least be on a par with the RX7 in terms of handling, but would have the edge performance wise eg. 0 - 60mph.
