Hi all,

Sorry for posting i know some admin not like free advertisement but i did not know how to let people know about this.

I released my Android / Droid driver for bluetooth keyboards this week.

It works with SPP keyboards and can be found here:

Here if anyone interested: http://www.mymobilegear.com/AndroidKBDriver.php

Admin sorry for posting this if its not cool. its okay if you have to remove it.

i don't see a problem w/ this. thanks for sharing.

why are pc files needed, though? is the apk in the market, also?

PC file yes.....

I just release it and it needs to be installed using the "InstallAPK" apk loader.

For anyone interested in using a keyboard now, this is the only way right now.

I'm in the process speaking with some keyboard manufactures about bundling it with their keyboards right now but not sure how that will go.

If they not interested then I will have to sign up to the Android store and make it available.

thanks for responding.

oh, i see: the .zip just contains the apk. yeah, i would sign up and put this in the market.

if it were me, i'd drop the price. you'd probably make more in the long run, but that's just a thought.

Thanks for the advice on pricing and market. This will be the first product for me to go to an open software market so i don't know where pricing for this should be. I'll have to do some research on this.

If it makes it to the market I'll post back in case someone is interested know.

Or post if a manufacture decided to go with it so that anyone interested in a keyboard can look it up.

BTW....

I recompiled the driver and signed it with a production certificate. The new version was uploaded to the site this morning.

I only have a G1 to work with so if anyone interested in testing the driver and have a SPP keyboard and other G1 or Android/Droid device please let me know.

In return for using your Android or Droid device to test the driver with one of the supported keyboards I can offer you a free registration key.

* When asking for keys, i will need your keyboard MAC Address. Just post your request in this forum and i'll respond with a key.

thanks everyone...

Bluetooth keyboard for Android & Droid now possible

Hi everyone,

I just received a response from one of the resellers for the Freedom Universal 2 SPP/HID Bluetooth keyboard.

This is a quote from them:

?We carry this item pretty consistently, however currently it is showing to be in low numbers in our inventory. We have generated a coupon code for your users, please pass along the savings to your members, they can use the word "mymobilegear" in the promo field when checking out to save an additional 15% off of there whole order.?

This is the site: http://www.wirelessground.com/blke.html

Regular is $149.99 and they have it on sale for $89.99 so you can receive an additional 15% off.

I hope this helps some of you?

Happy holidays?

Everyone...

December 31st, 2009 is the cut-off for my free key offer. If you have your keyboard please submit your Mac address ASAP.

I know some of you only found this thread only recently. Unfortunately I cannot extend this offer indefinitely.

For those who did supply their Mac address, thank you for helping in confirming the driver does work and be sure to check periodically for updates.

Wow this is a good idea. I am wanting to get the nexus phone when it comes out and having no keyboard was kind of a bummer. When I get it I will be purchasing this software. Just wish that there was a keyboard like the one that connects to to the xbox 360 controller. Something small and portable. : )

I discovered an awesome laser projection keyboard that works with Android Phones. It is manufactured by Celluon and is called the CL850. The CL850 Bluetooth Keyboard driver is available on the Android Market for download just in time for the holidays. More information is available at the following URL:
