My computer had bluetooth but I was fixing it one day and let's just say the bluetooth doesn't work anymore. Well it works (I just can't switch it on and off and I need to be able to do that, so I disabled and uninstalled it under the Device Manager.)
So.. I went out bought a targus bluetooth adapter. Everything was fine EXCEPT it keeps wanting to connect to the Hands-Free Audio (which sounds like crap) and not the Headset. Before with the bluetooth in my computer it used to show both under Playback devices, but now it only shows the Hands-Free. I tried removing the headphones and strangely the Hands-free speaker was still listed under playback devices. When I added the headphones back nothing changed. I tried restarting the computer. It didn't work. I also went to Bluetooth Devices > Properties > Services > and unchecked Hands-free and checked Headset. Nothing changed a thing.
At this point I'm thinking of doing a system restore and just starting over.
Any advice on what I should try before I do that.
