i have a acer 5720 which is saying no bluetooth device when i press the button, can anybody help me,what do i need to get bluetooth up and running cheers
Start> Control Panel> then double click Bluetooth Devices
If you don't see the icon click Classic View first.
There are a few options to choose from there but first you need to activate Bluetooth on the device that you are trying to connect to. If it's a phone double click on the icon shown and enter the code on the phone's keypad when prompted to create a connection.
Make sure your drivers are up to date for your bluetooth devices. If you are running Vista go to:
Control Panel>>Classic View (located on the left pane)>>Bluetooth Devices
If your device doesn't appear then your drivers may not be up to date or even installed. If your device came with an installation CD then pop it in and follow the on-screen instructions. If you don't have a CD or that doesn't work then in Vista do this (make sure you're on an account with administrator privileges)
Control Panel>>Classic View>>Add Hardware
Your computer will search for the device and if found will try to set it up.
If that doesn't work then go to Control Panel>>Classic View>>Device Manager (once again be on an account with administrator privileges)
If your device is connected then it should be listed under Unknown Device(s). Click the + button and there should be one unknown device listed. Right-click it and choose Properties.
Click the Driver Tab at the top of the window.
Click Update Driver
Click search the internet for drivers
If successful Windows will confirm that it was set up correctly. This worked for awebcam that I bought and the installation CD didn't work. I would advise rebooting to make sure it installs correctly.
If everything fails then consult your Bluetooth Device manufacturer for support.
