Blue Ray Recemendations

Casino Royale is a must have on Blu Ray. It is probably the best transfer out of all films on Blu Ray. Scene to look out for is the crane chase bit simply wow!
 
One of the best was The Omega Man with Charlton Heston.
The video transfer is superb, but the sound is not great.
Very similar in screenplay to I Am Legend.
 
Band of Brothers is stunning, as are many recommendations in this thread.

Although not one of your genres I'd also recommend the English-language version of Luc Besson's The Big Blue, a masterpiece of a film in every sense of the word....

Casino Royale
Pans Labyrinth
No Country for Old Men
Wall.E - which is probably the best looking BluRay in my collection.

On that note, all of the Pixar releases are stunning. They go above and beyond with extras, and the transfers to BluRay are the best in the industry (It helps that the original source is digital, but they are superior to the likes of Dreamworks animation); Wall.E, Monsters Inc., Ratatouille and Cars are currently out on BD.
