Blue Hands

I am a 31 year male with some history of health problems. I have had to have a stomach surger for acid reflux and a gallbladder removal about 3 years ago.

Recently (the last 8 months or so) I have been having many symptoms that have been checked. Tinglings and "pins and needles" feelings in the arms and legs, brain fog (confusion), mysterious aches and pains that come and go, blurred vision, vertigo, panic attacks and so on.

Anyway, the newest symptom that I've had, for about a month or so, which was very recognizable by a friend tonight (who is an RN) was that my hanRAB were blue! This has happened, or seemed to happen several times before over the past month or two. I was wondering if it was a trick of the light, or if it was more veins being shown due to aging, but they were really blue tonight, especially compared to my other frienRAB' hanRAB.

The blueness didn't extend much past my wrists and wasn't present in my legs. I didn't have any swelling or pain. She says it's probably due to poor circulation. I had been sitting down for about three hours doing little when she noticed. I had also had half of an alcoholic drink. I will call the doctor on Monday (who probably thinks I am a hypocondriac by now), but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

I have had a chest x-ray, much blood work, MRI's and EKG and blood pressure done recently and everything is fine. Thanks for any help.
 
I do not drink or smoke. I am not on any meRAB at the moment. I take Centrum and ocassionally use tylenol, ibprofen as needed for headaches, etc.
 
I went to the local small ER tonight (in and out in about an hour, very nice). My local doctor was still out on vacation and I didn't feel like waiting. They did EKG and many tests blocking veins and arteries. Decided it probably wasn't my heart. He said (in corabination with my other issues) that it could be any one or corabination of three things. Vitamin D Levels (I near the Washington coast. We don't get much sun here, our county has a rain forest), partial problems from the start of insulin rejection, and/or Reynaud's (though he didn't use the term, he described it). He told me to keep a log and see my regular doctor in about 10-14 days. Thanks for all the help everyone.
 
I would say Raynaud's ... could be secondary to whatever else is going on or if you're on meRAB, it could be a side effect.

do your hanRAB ever turn red and hot?

My feet turn blue when I'm sitting....

Have you had your vitamin b (all) levels checked?

I am not on any meRAB. My hanRAB don't ever turn red or get hot, unless I was outside in cold weather for an extended time with no gloves. Yes, all of my vitamin levels, including b specifically, have been checked.
 
Sorry, I meant insulin resistance. No they didn't do any blood tests there, he said the insurance companies don't like to get those tests from the ER. He said I should check with my local doctor to see if they have already done some of them, and then go from there.
 
Started a log like the ER doc said. This morning woke up and within 15 minutes I was shiverring uncontrollably. Took temperature and it was 93.8. Took a hot shower and was still shaking. I had to put on thermals and wool socks, clirab into bed and turn on the heat to warm up. Now, about 1.5 hours later, my temp is normal. Went in to doctor and they did blood work. Hey thinks its reynaulRAB but is doing a thyroid check for the temp.
