Blue Chat and Blue Board questions...

I recently installed Blue Chat and Blue Board on my T2 and neither of the apps seem to find my laptop when they scan. I HotSync the device with my laptop via bluetooth all the time and I am able to share an Internet connection from my laptop to my T2 via bluetooth as well as send files between the two devices.....

So why is it that neither Blue Chat or Blue Board see the laptop when they scan?

:-)
Thanks!

If both devices don't have the same applications on them such as BlueChat and Blueboard then one can't talk to the other within those programs.

However, you may, depending upon the device be able to transfer contacts and calendar events via bluetooth provided both devices are Palm OS devices. There is even a program that allows transfers of such information across other OS platforms from Palm to PPC.

And per your other thread.....you should still be able to use the device to talk to your phone via BT. Just because the driver hasn't been updated by Palm, typically you can use another "driver" of the same style manufacturer and it normally will work. However, LG isn't part of the current T3 BT options....I don't know if it's in the current phone updater or not but you might just have to search.

Now using BT for internet access is a totally different scenario but for dialing and transferring contacts....should be able to play and figure it out.

But I can understand the reluctance since there is no specific "driver".

I have a T3, my fiancee just bought a T5. Her T5 did not come pre loaded with Blue Board or Blue Chat, but my T3 did -- however, I have never had the chance to use them.

I cannot seem to find either software program to load onto her palm, and of course, they are locked programs that cannot be beamed.

Does anyone have a direct link to a download site?
