Blue buffalo dog food: Fish and sweet potato or Wilderness?

I need to go and buy my little dog some more food today. I want to switch him from Cesar dry food to Blue Buffalo.

I've done a lot of research and it seems like good dog food. I'm just not sure which kind is better.

My dog eats the wet BB dog food, so he gets a lot of sweet potato already and he might not want to eat it in his dry food too. But I've been told that Wilderness has a lot of protein and my little dog's tummy might not be able to handle it. I checked on www.dogfoodanalysis.com and it says Wilderness is best for large breeds.

Also are the fish and sweet potato and Wilderness alright for small dogs? My dog likes his kibble small, and if it's big he won't eat it. ?So which is better do you think?

Excellent job switching from a low quality, crap dog food to a better quality one!

The difference between the two you listed is that one is Blue Buffalo's regular line, which contains grains, and the other is Blue Buffalo's grain-free line, which contains no grains at all.

Blue Buffalo in general is a pretty good quality food, though their Blue Wilderness diet is definitely better (being grain-free) than their regular diet. Both should be alright for a small dog, providing the dog does well on it. Not all dogs do well on all high quality dog foods! Sometimes you need to find the high quality dog food that works best for your dog.

Blue Wilderness is an /excellent/ quality dog food. Grain-free is a great way to go. The only way to say whether your dog will do well on it would be to give it a try. Just remember to do the switch /gradually/ like you would with any dog food switch (mixing the new in with the old over the period of about a week or so... maybe even slower for a high protein diet like Blue Wilderness).
