Blu Ray Discs strange skipping/sluggishness on PS3?

Trying to explain this as best I can, Have a 40 GB PS3 and it plays DVDs fine, but a few blu ray discs have moment where the picture sorta moves faster and more sluggish at the same time, with some pixelation, then it correct itself, especially when the scene has the camera moving a lot. Is this a player issue, disc issue, maybe a firmware update (Which I did recently) issue? PS3 games seem to play fine
