Aside from the horrible DRM schemes implemented to confuse and piss off honest consumers, what does HD-DVD or Blu-Ray offer over DVD?
A few million more pixels? A nifty pop up commentary box explaining to me what the drool was made of in the Alien movies?
Who cares? I for one hope both formats fail to piracy.
The movie industry needs to quit using the same fucking stagnant tactics it's been using since the invention of recordable media, and embrace cheap digital distribution.
I would gladly purchase a 5-10 dollar LEGIT movie, high-def or not I don't care. Just as long as I can play it on ANY machine I want, an UNLIMITED time, and doesn't require some fucking "hand shake" between my components to work correctly.
I understand why the movie industry wants to protect their content. But it's gotten to the point to where pirating a movie (or using Netflix ) is often a better choice than buying.
In a nut shell, you are a mindless tool for praising one shitty format over another shitty format.
The RIAA and MPAA love you, and people like you.
