Bloody Nose

For the past 3-4 months I've been getting 8-9 bloody noses a month. Before this I had never had them before. A lot of people have been telling me it's because the air at my work or in my apartment is dry and it causes the bloody nose but the thing is I've lived in this apartment for 2 years and also had this job for 2 years and I've never had bloody noses before.

They usually occur at night and it would just randomly happen when trying to blow my nose.

Any suggestions on what I should do or what is causing them?
 
Hi, Laura . . . it can take a while for nose bleeds to happen from dry air. Years ago I went on a two week mid-summer desert vacation. Two weeks after returning, my nose bleeds started.

I would say the best things you can do are to not blow your nose hard (gentle keeps from irritating them and breaking the membranes open), run a humidifier in your room at night, and if you can handle it, a light coating of Vaseline inside each nostril morning and before bed.
