blood test for pregnancy question?

When I went for a pregnancy blood test (military hospital), it only took about an hour for the results. Go get the test done, results depend on the doctor's office and how backed up they may be in the lab with other tests.
 
im going to go to the doctors to get a pregnancy test from my blood because i haven't had my period since oct 6th and all home tests have been negative...but i was wondering how long will it take for me to get my results from that..if i would get it that day i take it or if it takes a couple days for the results?
