If a person was recently on courses of antibiotics for recurrent strep and now a doctor has ordered cultures to see if it was more serious, then how long before being on the last course, is it possible to get an accurate culture. Do u need to have a fever at the time of culture? Lastly, if a heart valve is infected will it definitely show in these tests?
