Do not buy the Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death DVD or the new Wallace & Gromit Complete Collection DVD.

Apparently, both DVDs present all the films in full-frame format, when both "A Close Shave" and "A Matter of Loaf and Death" were both animated and shot in widescreen. Even more puzzling, the documentary on making the movie is in anamorphic...

Sorry, I say "apparently" because I haven't actually seen what comes with the 4-disc DVD set. It's remotely possible that it's widescreen (or like my older copy of the W&G shorts that is non-anamorphic widescreen), but the packaging labels it as "Full Screen" so I'm not optimistic.
 
You know something? A Closh Shave may be presented in 1.66:1 on the Blu-Ray, but I did myself a comparison, and it turns out A Close Shave presented on the Blu-Ray is presented in a matted 1.66:1 format covering the top and bottom. Talk about irony!
