Okay so my mom officially completely doesnt trust me, and she blocked WTF. But me being the nerd I am, I found out a way to get into it. But, why would she block it? Theres nothing bad about this site that parents wouldnt approve... is there?

Well I dont know what to do. Can you guys give me some hints on what I should tell her to convince her to let me use it?

What do you mean theres nothing on here that wouldn't offend a kids folks...hell there are two forums on here were the opposite sex have nothing better to do than talk about masturbating, every second word is FUCK, not to mention wtFUCK dot com.

Are you blind or just ignorant, not to mention the way the media portrays places like this... its a death trap waiting to happen, my advice..leave it blocked and go piss ya mother off some more.
 
No, dumbshit, the thing is that to make sure that she would approve the first time I signed up for this site, I let my mom check it out. She read everything, and every single forum. Its just that she thinks that Tiffani)my girlfriend I havent talked to in a few weeks) is on this site, and shes not! My mother hates her because she thinks that shes the source of all my problems. :rolleyes:

Anyways, she checked out the site, approved it, and now she randomly freaks out.
 
That really sucks Nym! I don't know to convince your mom of anything, maybe it's just a spazz thing and she'll calm down and stop overreacting soon. Good luck hun. :sad:
 
well all I can say is talk to her. Ask her why she changed her mind. Don't let her use the old, "Because I'm the mother, and I say so," routine. It isn't enough. You want an explanation. Tell her you'll understand if she checks it out again and still doesn't like it, but just because someone told her it's a porn site, doesn't make it a porn site. We don't allow porn on here anyway. Sure there's the booby thread, but those boobs are not unclothed (at least last time I looked). If any are nude photos, they get taken off line. Sure there's vulgar language here, but you can see vulgar language in public bathroom stalls. Nothing said here isn't said else where.

On the other hand. Lot's of cursing is a major turn off for parents, but considering how much worse this site could be, a truckload of potty mouths is not bad at all.

Anyway, just let her recheck it. Or go through all the profiles. There's only thousands of them. It shouldn't take too long. She alteast owes an explanation.
 
I don't allow my teen-aged daughter on here. Forget the profanity, there's boobs, talks of masturbation and sexually explicit dialougue, dirty old men, horny teenage boys, and I'm sure its share of e-stalkers. I am not the mother of everyone who is underage on the forum so I can't help them, but I know enough about this site to not allow my daughter on it.

Also, I couldn't be myself here if she were here either, but that aside, I wouldn't allow her on a site like this one as I don't allow her to chat with anyone she doesn't know in RL. The internet is a dangerous place and it's a parent's job to do whatever they can to protect their kids from those dangers. I just now got to a place where I allow her to leave comments on other people's sites but her profile is very anonymous that lists nothing about herself. I monitor what she does and most of her time is on Xanga, myspace and IM with her friends. She's not allowed to add anyone on her friends lists that she doesn't know in RL either.

She shares my laptop that stays in the dining room of our house as well so I can randomly peek at what she's doing. I know, I'm the Gestapo and Big Brother rolled into one. Oh well.
