Blocked Sony Ericsson K800i on O2

Please help

A couple of months ago I lost my Sony Ericsson phone and was supplied with a new one. I have just moved house and found the phone. At the time I phoned O2, they asked me to supply them with a PIN code in case I found the phone and wanted to use the SIM again. Obviously I now have a phone and have given it to a friend who is also on the O2 network, however when they put their phone in it it also says inactive SIM. He has been told that he needs to unblock the phone but is this the case as it is already on the O2 network? I have also tried my SIM and get the same message (inactive SIM). Have O2 somehow blocked the phone because it was reported lost? Is there anyway that we can get it to work again? Do I need to enter the PIN that I gave them? If so, where? Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Thanks

Hi,
I have a Sony Ericsson K800i that was lost and consequently reported to O2 who supplied me with a new one. I have recently moved and found the old phone, however it will not work with mine or any other SIM card. Does anyone know why this is? Have they blocked the phone somehow? Does anyone know how to get the phone working again.? Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks.

I merged your 2 threads because they are the exact same question. Like I said before, call your service provider, O2!!

they are not the same! I thought before it was a SIM problem but it is not the inactive SIM it is actually the phone. O2 will not help as the phone was previously reported as being lost.
