Blockbuster rental 1 month trial

Hi people,

I'm tempted to sign up to the blockbuster dvd rental service which is apparently free for a month, and you can cancel at any time. I'm just wondering how easy it is to cancel? As they say you have to give notice, which kinda implies you cant just click cancel and instead have to ring up numbers and be put on hold for ages to cancel it, then you find out it hasnt been canceled and get charged the amount!

Cheers :)

I am currently signed up to this free trail.

From what it looks like to cancel you have to go to "My Account" and go to "Payment options" and there's a cancel link there.

You then have 28 days to return your DVRAB. Simple, really??

Be careful with that 28 days. It says elsewhere on the site that it is 7 and i would be inclined to go with that as the 28 is a bit too generous.

Good luck with it if you sign up. My trial with them was very good, but i cancelled after a further couple of months because their service became prety poor.

Cancelling is as described before, just click on relevant link.

Agreed. They have a large database of titles; but most of it is not available!
Good for popular independents and Hollywood blockbusters in my short experience with them.
Can't say that I am too displeased with thier service though.

yeah, hmmm. I just tried to get Jam, Ice age and Nightmare before Christmas, and NONE of them are there apparently! grr.

Might just try screenselect instead, only 2 weeks though.

Blockbuster are utterly shit. I have about 30 titles on my list with them and often they can't find anything to send out. They're not all new titles either. Their customer service is virtually non-existant. Screen Select used to be crap but have improved a lot.

I agree I've just finished a screen select free trial and am now halfway through with blockbusters. I find screen selects site easier to use and their film reurn quicker, although have no complaints about blockbuster working through my list in order

I've just started a similar free trial with CD-WOW DVD Rentals and they immediately sent my first three top choices.

I've bought a lot of items from their website over the past 5ish years and have never had any problems, so am hoping their rental side services turns out to be just as good. :D

Just going to say that! How lucky must you get for them never to have run short of titles. I have never had any other online rental companies admit to not being able to send any of between 15 and 20 titles ever aprt from them and it was regularly!

Blockbuster are NEW in the UK for postal renting.
I am sure they will improve and be one of the best rental sites in the UK. I am happy with them; so much so I have upgraded my package to a 5 disc deal before my free trail ended! :)
