Blockbuster DVD Rental are there other sites that are just as good??

I got that all the time with BB. I just shove another 3 on there and that is usually what I end up getting. It probably makes there job easier, most other comapanies like lovefilm will just not send you anything.
 
Late fees, are you sure? There should be no lates fees with any unlimited online rental company unless you are referring to the one title at a time package.
 
Ive just cancelled my Blockbuster subscription and signed with Lovefilm as ive had a trial with Sainsburys (run by love film as is clubextra) so i wouldn't qualify for the trial.

I hope lovefilm will be just as good as blockbuster was Ive added the same films to my list 34 in total and a number of pre-ordered ones.
 
yeah im sure about the late fees, it appeared on my visa card statement. Not having any problems like that with the screenselect payments though
 
There's nothing about late fees on there terms and conditions why are you not contesting it?

If they charged me a fee I was not aware off I'd contact them and complain.
 
I've subcribed to Lovefilm.com through CD-WOW DVD Rentals for nearly one year, and never had any problems. It seems just by reading the posts on this site that the big 3 (Blockbuster, Lovefilm and Screenselect) are the same, some people have problems others don't.

I've now subscribed to Lovefilm for 6 months, which gives me something like one month free rental by paying for 6 months at a time.
 
Heavily non-mainstream titles are probably ones which they might only have one or two copies of - and they're most likely to be out with someone else. It can sometimes take a while, but not too long, usually.

I've been with Blockbuster for about six months now and never had any quarrels with the service. I tend to get through the DVRAB quite quickly, but even so they always manage to send me something from my (200+) list the same day they get discs back.

I've had no experience of other DVD rental companies but from what others say on here, they can be pretty variable, and will out-and-out delay sending you new discs if they think you're renting too many too quickly. No problems like that with Blockbuster.
 
I did complain via email but had no reply from what must be the worst customer support team ive dealt with. I would attempt to write into their address but I have no further confidence with the company at all. Working for a customer service team for a big isp myself, I make sure emails are sent out within 24 hrs of recieving them. Ive been waiting 2 months for a reply from blockbuster.
 
It's fine, I had an e-mail through saying it was sent in error, they are upgrading and said I shouldn't have got an e-mail about no titles avaliable in your list.
 
Has anyone else experienced this 'late' fee or is this a one off incidient. How can they advertise their service as a 'NO DUE DATES' service. Surely they have broken their contract to you and you could demand compensation.
 
Thanks for that site lots of good reviews and information im a bit concerned that the majority of Lovefilm.com reviews are very poor.
 
Yes I would have to agree that it is a delaying tactic to slow down the process of cancelling.

We are more inclined to join the other companies like Blockbuster and Screenselect if we can cancel quite easilly.


P.S. Moviestream's website is down for the second time I have been using them. They'll be losing my custom if this happens for a third time. :mad:
 
Usually it's only dissatisfied customers who got to the bother of making a noise about any product or service.

I'm with LoveFilm and couldn't be happier.

I have just cancelled Lovefilm online. When I checked this morning on how to cancel it was a phone number, but checking again just now it allowed me to cancel online although did offer me the chance for a cheap package, so maybe they put the phone number on during office hours.
 
I have so far been impressed with Tesco DVD Rental.

Turnaround is as quick as it can be, as soon as they receive my DVRAB back they send the next lot out the same day.

As I work nights this is great, I get home and not long after the DVD/s arrives, I watch it and send it back in the same days post.

As I mentioned previously:

Use the voucher code 1316434 at sign up, instead of 14 free trial you get 21 days, and after 3 months paid service you get 1,000 club card points.
 
Does anybody know where we can rent adult entertianment movies?
I would hate to use a foreign company because it would be a loss to the UK economy. Everybody knows where we can rent [highlight]horror/violent[/highlight] films from...
