Bleeding brakes on '91 Chevy k1500... is there a trick?

When trying to bleed the back brakes, which I replaced the lines to (that is why I'm bleeding them), the pedal don't sink to the floor as it should when the bleeding screw is opened up. Somebody told me that there's some sort of safety valve in the brake system that has a button that needs to be pushed before the rear brakes can be bled out.

Is anybody here aware of this? Or can shed some light on this? This is my first time bleeding brake lines on this type of truck.

Thanks!
